Fire Damages Home in Beaumont, Four Residents Displaced

A fire broke out Monday afternoon in a Beaumont neighborhood, a home was damaged and four residents were displaced, according to Cal Fire.

The fire was reported at 4:25 p.m. Jan. 20 in the area of 11th Street and Magnolia Avenue, Jody Hagemann of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.

Seven engine companies responded with a contingent of 22 firefighters, Hagemann said.

"First arriving engine company reported a single story residence with smoke visible," Hagemann said.

In an update at 4:55 p.m. Monday, Hagemann said the incident commander "requested the American Red Cross to respond and assist four adults who will be displaced."

No injuries were reported and info about the cause of the fire was not disclosed.

Southern California Edison and the Southern California Gas Company also responded.
