Booking Photos: Ex-NFL Player, Titus Young, Arrested Two Times in One Day in Moreno Valley

Riverside County jail booking records indicate Young spent the night in the downtown Riverside jail before being released on bail.

A former NFL player was facing possible criminal charges Wednesday after he was arrested twice in one day in Moreno Valley— once on suspicion of driving under the influence, then on suspicion of burglary while allegedly trying to retrieve his impounded car.

Titus Young, 23, of Los Angeles, a former player for the Detroit Lions, was arrested just after midnight Sunday on suspicion of DUI, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

"An officer with the Moreno Valley Police Department conducted a traffic stop on black [Ford] Mustang after the driver drove into oncoming traffic, making an illegal left turn directly in front of the patrol car," sheriff's Sgt. Lisa McConnell told Banning Beaumont Patch in an email.

Young's car was impounded, and he was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, then released on his own recognizance, according to the sergeant.

Then, at 2:22 p.m. that day, Moreno Valley police responded to a tow yard, when someone reported seeing a man— later identified as Young— jumping over the fence into the storage area of the company.

"Further investigation determined Young was attempting to take his vehicle, which had been towed and stored after his arrest for driving under the influence," she said.

Young was arrested and taken to the Robert Presley Detention Center in downtown Riverside and was booked again and released Monday after posting $5,000 bail, according to jail records.
