Early Morning Fire Destroys Storage Structure and Multiple Vehicles

An early morning fire destroyed a storage structure and multiple vehicles Friday on Sage road in the south Hemet area, according to Cal Fire.

The fire was reported at 5:31 a.m. in the 31700 block of Sage Road, Mark Annas of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.

"First arriving engine reported a . . . garage and 5th wheel travel trailer involved with fire," Annas said. "The fire was contained to a 2,000 square foot metal storage structure at 5:58 a.m. The fire completely destroyed the structure and multiple vehicles within the structure causing an $80,000 loss."

Six engine companies with more than 20 firefighters responded, Annas said. No injuries were reported. Info about the cause of the fire was not released.
