Car Slams Into, Knocks Down Beaumont Street Sign

Officials on scene said no one was hurt in the crash.

A sedan crashed into a center median along 6th Street in Beaumont Thursday evening, taking down a sign with it.

Officials on scene told Patch the crash happened around 5:45 p.m., when the vehicle crashed into the median and "keep right" sign on 6th Street, just west of Highland Springs Avenue.

It appears the car was traveling westbound on the roadway when the crash happened.  No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no injuries were reported.

Police were on scene directing traffic around the crash site, but there weren't any delays.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
