Car Hits Center Divider on State Route 79 in Lamb Canyon South of Beaumont

A green Honda Accord was southbound on Lamb Canyon Road when it struck the center divider just north of the landfill turnoff, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said in a phone interview.

A motorist in a car struck a center divider on State Route 79 in Lamb Canyon on Friday afternoon south of Beaumont, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A green Honda Accord was southbound on Lamb Canyon Road when it struck the center divider just north of the landfill turnoff at 1:42 p.m., according to the CHP.

The vehicle was southbound on SR 79 when it struck the center divider, and at least one CHP officer was on scene, a CHP dispatcher said in a phone interview.

The Honda came to rest facing the wrong way, according to initial reports.

Cal Fire and a two truck crew were called out. Information about possible injuries was not avialable.
