Calimesa Police Investigate Alleged Strong-Arm Robbery at Chevron Station
The incident was reported about 2:35 a.m. Sunday at 499 Sandalwood Drive, a sheriff's sergeant said.
Three people walked out of a Calimesa gas station store with two cases of beer without paying and assaulted a store employee, according to Calimesa police.
The incident was reported about 2:35 a.m. Sunday from the Chevron at 499 Sandalwood Drive, said Sgt. Anthony Williams of Calimesa police and the sheriff's Cabazon Station.
Two males and a female had come into the store, retrieved to cases of beer from a cooler, and tried to walk out without paying, Williams said.

A store employee confronted them and he was assaulted, Williams said. He sustained minor injuries to one arm.
The suspects left with the beer, got into a gold-colored SUV-type vehicle, and and drove away, according to Williams.

Investigating deputies called the incident a "robbery/burglary/conspiracy."
