An injured mountain bike rider was rescued by a Cal Fire helicopter crew Sunday on Wildomar Truck Trail, an agency spokesman said.
The injured man was reported to Cal Fire at 11:48 a.m. Dec. 29 in the mountains southwest of Lake Elsinore, about a mile up from Calle De Lobo, Mark Annas of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.
Four engine companies responded for the "remote area rescue" and they called in Cal Fire H301 to hoist the man, who sustained moderate injuries, Annas said.
"The patient was injured during a solo mountain bike collision," Annas said.
Cal Fire 301 is a converted UH-1 Huey that can fight fires, carry personnel and assist on rescues.
