Brazen Robbery Reported in Front of Banning Police Station

Police say an 18-year-old robbed someone Wednesday night-- right in front of the Banning police station.

An 18-year-old was behind bars Thursday, accused of robbing someone in front of the Banning police station a night earlier.

Police and jail records indicate Davion Owens was arrested within 15 minutes after the unidentified victim let them know of the alleged crime.

"While conducting an area check, the suspect was located at S. San Gorgonio Avenue and Lincoln Street with the victim’s property. The suspect was taken into custody

The teen allegedly took the victim's iPod, Banning police Sgt. Alex Diaz told Banning-Beaumont Patch.

No weapon was used in the incident.
