Booking Photo Released of Man Suspected of Domestic Violence, Evading Police

A chase started about 1:30 p.m. Saturday when police tried to contact Rudolph Buddy Wesley, 45, of Banning, in the area of Highland Springs Avenue, police said.

A booking photo was released Monday of a man suspected of domestic violence and leading police on a chase Saturday in Banning.

The chase started about 1:30 p.m. Saturday when police tried to contact Rudolph Buddy Wesley, 45, of Banning, in the area of Highland Springs Avenue, where Banning borders Beaumont, police said.

Police said Wesley was a suspect in a domestic violence investigation.

Wesley fled in a vehicle, and during the pursuit Wesley's vehicle collided into another vehicle, police said. There were no injuries, police said.

The pursuit ended at Wesley's residence in the 200 block of North Cherry Street, according to police and inmate records. The location the pursuit ended was in Banning, a police dispatcher said in a phone interview Sunday.

Wesley was booked at Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of felony domestic violence, felony evading and felony resisting arrest, police said. He was released Sunday on $50,000 bail, according to inmate records.
