Body of Man Found in Mill Creek Canyon Near Mountain Home Village ID'd

San Bernardino County sheriff's homicide detectives were investigating.

The body of a man found a week ago in Mill Creek Canyon has been identified as a Redlands resident, and homicide detectives Wednesday appealed for help from the public to learn more about how he died.

The afternoon of Nov. 23, someone stopped along Highway 38 to take photographs west of Mountain Home Village and spotted what appeared to be a body "over the side of the road," San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said in a statement.

The photographer contacted the Forest Service, and deputies from the Yucaipa Station responded.
