A body was found in a vacant house in Banning Friday afternoon.
A deputy assigned to the gang task force conducted a property check at a house at 3:40 p.m. on East George Street, near North Cherry Street. He discovered a partially decomposed body inside the house, according to the Banning Police Department. The body was that of a man, but the age could not be determined.
Detectives arrived on scene and opened an investigation, which is ongoing.
