[UPDATED] Big Rig Crash: Westbound SR-60 Briefly Closed Through Badlands

Update 2:28 p.m.:

A California Highway Patrol dispatcher tells Banning-Beaumont Patch that the roadway has been cleared following a big rig crash on SR 60, and all lanes are now back open.

Original story as follows:

A semi trucked flipped on State Route 60 in the Badlands, leading to a closure of all westbound lanes, the California Highway Patrol reports.

According to a CHP dispatcher, there is no current estimate for the roadway reopening.

Incident logs indicate the crash happened just before noon, when a vehicle possibly cut off the big rig.

Traffic soon began to back up through the Badlands and into Beaumont, and CHP has since closed access to the 60 at I-10.

Logs indicate that both westbound lanes need to be closed so the truck can be uprighted, and towed out.
