A Beaumont woman apparently jumped to her death this week from an elevated road on the interchange of Interstate 10 and the 215 Freeway in Colton, authorities said.
At 11:04 a.m. Wednesday, the California Highway Patrol received a 911 call reporting a motorist who parked on the transition road from westbound I-10 to the southbound 215, "and then jumped over the side," a San Bernardino County coroner's report stated.
Paramedics from the Colton Fire Department responded and confirmed the death of the woman at 11:15 a.m., according to the coroner.
The woman was identified by the coroner as Denise Lynne French, a 49-year-old resident of Beaumont.
Colton police also investigated the incident.
