Beaumont Stabbing Suspect Arrested

The incident occurred Thursday night. Both the suspect and victim fled the scene of the crime.

A Beaumont man was arrested Friday morning on suspicion of attempted murder.

Beaumont police responded to a call at 9:08 p.m. on Thursday of a fight between several people at a residence on Michigan Avenue near Oak Valley Parkway, according to Beaumont Police spokeswoman Darci Mulvihill. The fight was the result of a child custody dispute.

Officers determined that a man had been stabbed, but both the suspect and the stabbing victim fled the scene. The Beaumont Police Department and Riverside County Sheriff's Department then began a sweep of the surrounding area, eventually locating the injured man in Cherry Valley near Brookside Avenue and Noble Street.

The search continued for the suspect, who had been identified as 20-year-old Mario Juarez. At around 10:30 a.m. Friday officers located Juarez while assisting Child Protective Services on a check up of the house on Michigan Avenue, said Mulvihill.

The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is being asked to call the Beaumont Police Department at 951-769-8500. Crime tips can be reported anonymously at 800-78-CRIME.

And Concerned Citizen those kids do not live here those are Sundance kids who hang out at our MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY. The more you speak the more ignorant you sound. Our park was a great community right until those homes were built. But if you people think that just because the North side Beaumont gang resides here and in Sundance don't think that the South siders aren't in your neighborhoods. Ahhh to live back to the days when the war was between two family's Morenos and Granadous (sp)

Arron Alexander--in reference to pass police supporter, what did you mean by your comment--"we'll see how supporitive you are when when one these "people" take out your husband at work? Are you advocating the murder of a police officer, because that is what it seems like. That says everything about you. You just revelaed your true colors.

Gary quit calling me a liar BEFORE you call Beaumont PD at 951 769 8500 and ask "in the city of Beaumont can I get a ticket, get stopped or be arrested by a Riverside county sheriff" Then comeback and apologize and STFU Just got off the phone with them and asked....the answer was "YES THEY CAN"

Open your eyes, stop assuming I am a criminal or somebody with a criminal background. The point I am making is you will close your eyes, plug your ears, and assume what you want. When crime hits home you will change your tune.

As a military family, we have lived a lot of places, some good and some not so good. From experience I know that it's what YOU make of it. If someone had told me, 20 years ago, that I would be living in Banning, I would have laughed, yet we've been here for 18 years. We bought a small house north of downtown because we didn't want to live in a subdivision. I love the peacefulness and the quietness. I love the cows on the hill, and even love the occasional bear. I am happy. Is it perfect? Of course not. Crime is everywhere so comparing the Pass area with other cities isn't realistic. There will always be someone who wants what you have, whether it's your life or your possessions, but I refuse to let that affect me. I think it's time for Aaron to move on to someplace where he will be happier, but I hope he doesn't expect to find paradise. Paradise doesn't exist. It's a state of mind and it can be found regardless of the area.

True, and I apologize; thanks for the correction!
ATC August 26, 2012 at 08:43 pm
Washy, the fact is that the Sheriff's typically DON"T ticket, or pull over, or arrest people within Beaumont city limits UNLESS they are acting in their capacity as the gang task force, or if they are specifically asked to by BPD (rare). You will never see a Sheriff simply patroling in Beaumont, writing traffic tickets and such, unless the ticketed person was blatantly breaking the law right in front of the Sheriff.
You claimed that in August, the Sheriffs made more arrests in your trailer park than BPD, and you used that claim as evidence that BPD doesn't care and is worthless. That's a bull___t statement. If the Sheriffs made a bunch of arrests there, then it was in connection with the gang task force, or some other special circumstances, and takes nothing away from Beaumont PD.
Washy August 26, 2012 at 09:08 pm
So you didn't call. The fact is they can and do. The fact is the police were called ten mins before the actual stabbing and did not come. The fact is the house where the shooting was has had numerous calls and has several people using that address for parole so there is NO REASON they have not done something about it. The fact is Gary you have very little character to not call BPD and find out you are wrong (and admit it). You and CC have both acted like fools. Gary you don't even call BPD when your life is in danger or stuff have been stolen. When I worked in Banning I had the best relationship with the officers there. They came when they were needed and are a visable force. RIGHT NOW three BPDs are sitting behind an empty church outside their cars chatting/smoking and snacking (we were just jogging a path behind it). How often do you see mr motorbike cop sitting at the driveway to Noble Creek with his radar gun in lap and cell phone in hand? The fact is Gary you are scared to be proven wrong and would rather bully me by calling me names. Hope you feel big tonight because you can bet OTHER people have called today and found out FACT is Gary they can and do! So regardless of your inane writings you still have been proven wrong
Washy August 26, 2012 at 10:02 pm
Gary Beaumont PD number is 951 769 8500 Ask them. You chicken? LMAO then if you stand by your way you proved my point. THEY MADE MORE ARRESTS just driving by then BPD did by being called!!!!!
ATC August 26, 2012 at 10:03 pm
Once again, Washy, you are full of s__t! I really didn't feel the need to call and verify what I already knew, but you forced my hand. I just got off the phone with the Sheriff's department. Sheriffs DO NOT patrol within Beaumont city limits, although they can and will write a citation if they witness a violation while driving through Beaumont to get to unincorporated areas (which is exactly what I said). And if a citizen living in Beaumont calls the Sheriff for anything, Sheriffs DO NOT RESPOND, and instead refer them to the Beaumont PD. Period. So everything I previously said was true, and you continue to lie.
Do you really think that you can spout lie after lie without me following up and calling you out on them? You're out of your league, Washy. Put down the crack pipe and take a breather.
Washy August 26, 2012 at 10:03 pm
Gary you are nothing more then a Sun Lakes troll!
ATC August 26, 2012 at 10:38 pm
Washy, how ignorant are you? Yes, the Sheriffs CAN write a ticket (or even make an arrest) in Beaumont, IF they actually see a violation WHILE THEY ARE DRIVING THROUGH BMT TO GET TO UNINCORPORATED AREAS. Which is exactly what I said. But they DO NOT PATROL Beaumont. They also WILL NOT RESPOND TO A BEAUMONT RESIDENT WHO CALLS THEM FOR HELP. Period. They will refer them to BPD. Period. That's reality, Washy, no matter how you want to twist it. They didn't make arrests "IN" your trailer park by "driving by". And they have never responded to you when you call them for help in that trailer park. Those are lies.
Call Riverside Counbty Sheriff Dept. The number is 951-776-1099. You Chicken? Ask them "what they will do if you call them for help in your trailer park in BMT city limits". The answer: they will refer you to BPD, or tell you to call 911. I would also say "LMAO", but you're not funny; you're sad. BTW, I live more than 5 miles away from Sun Lakes.
Washy August 26, 2012 at 10:40 pm
Gary why you screaming I conceded you were right and then said thank you for backing up my statement the police don't come here enough if the sheriffs (just passing by) make more arrests
ATC August 26, 2012 at 10:47 pm
No you didn't, you continued to call me a liar, and a chicken, when everything I said was exactly right.
ATC August 26, 2012 at 10:53 pm
Washy, here is your quote from Friday at 8:55:
"In Aug Riverside Sheriffs made more arrests out of here then BPD. They (Sheriffs) respond when we call them. " I don't believe that, since the trailer park is not "on their way" through BMT to outlying areas. If they made arrests "in" the trailer park, it was as part of the Gang intervention program. And the part about them responding when you call? According the the Sheriff's Dept, that is a lie. And in my experience, once you are proven to be a liar, everything you say is subsequently suspect as well. Have a nice day (Pop open another 40, but quit bogarting that joint). I'm done here.
concerned citizen August 26, 2012 at 11:48 pm
Washy, Gary is right. You really are a liar.Iknow for a fact that those punks ARE NOT from Sundance. They are from your trailor park. As as far as Moreno Valley goes, I am not bigoted, just stating a fact. But then you don't like the truth. AND, what is the big deal anyway? It was one gangbanger stabbing another gangbanger. Big deal. Hopefully, now, there will be one less gangbanger in the world. And if you don't agree with this, then you must be related to one of the gangbangers.

I love my town. I have lived here 25 years. I love the mountain views. I love the small town quality, the festivals, the parades, the little local businesses.. I love Highland Springs Resort when the lavender is in bloom. It's fun when we get those occasional snows. Also don't forget Oakglen and it's sweet apples, cherrys and berry patches.. I love the kind and dear friends I have here
There is good & bad wherever we go. Bad things do happen here and they make the news. If you look only for the bad that is all you will find. If you reach out to the good things here you will find greater rewards right here in our community than you ever thought. I know this is true because I have traveled this country and I know that our area is beauitiful compared to much I have seen. I always am happy to get back home. It's nice to know folks and have them know you too. I have a business on Ramsey Street in downtown Banning. I feel we are a signifigant example of something good here. I see a town that has a brighter future. I deal with families from all sides of town. North, South, East, West. Many wonderful people live here, the children that come to me are decent kids with bright eyes, hopeful hearts, and dreams of a successful life. Stop feuding and start seeking out the happiness right outside your doors... I am Julia Olsen-Rodriguez, I am the owner and Artistic Director of San Gorgonio Ballet Company. Washy, get over it. I stand by what the RCSD actually said: "They don't respond to calls in the Beaumont city limits."
Slander? Perhaps you should actually do some research on what "slander" really is. Please, enlighten us on what "business" you own, so that we can make sure we don't go there. Let me guess; a bar?
Washy August 27, 2012 at 11:06 am
Gary I do not own a bar. (so you can keep your day job of being the town drunk) I have owned an operated a business in Banning for 15 yrs you probably go there often. GL figuring out which business it is. Yes they do arrest, ticket and stop people in beaumont and in Aug they made more arrests at 1425 cherry Ave then Beaumont PD did. This will get us no where as you are bitter bitter person who likely has no social contact other then the bullying you do online! I am done with you and this conversation. This is where I live (for now) and to you it is just some slums. That's fine don't come here.
ATC August 27, 2012 at 11:16 am
Yeah, it's probably smart that you don't reveal your business...most people reading this likely think you're a nutcase, so it probably wouldn't be good for business.
And you're beating a dead horse; we've already established that RCSD "can" arrest & ticket people in BMT. We've also established that they ONLY do it when they actaully witness a violation while driving thru BMT to get to outlying areas (according to them, not me). And finally, we've established that they don't normally respond to calls in the city of BMT (again, according to them).
ATC August 27, 2012 at 11:39 am
Washy, I'm likely no older than you are; still quite a long ways from retirement. The difference is that I try to get involved and help solve problems, whether that is within the council, school board, or any other group or organization, whereas you are more likely part of the problems. I also have no problem calling out the bull when I see it.
Washy August 27, 2012 at 12:21 pm
This mobile home community so many of you are ready to write off as a wasteland of thugs is actually made up of senior citizens who have been living here for decades, family's who bought what they could afford within walking distance of schools of for kids of all ages. I would estimate of the 150+ homes with residents about 5-10 are problems. It has only been in the last five or so years that we have even needed police presence in this park. I stand by my facts and I should think that someone who admittedly doesn't live in this city nor even within 5 miles of the city line would know much about what goes on here. Here are the improvements being made here to help us the residents, gates with codes, security cameras, locked mailboxes and now we need BPD to step up their patrols and enforcement. We need them to quit using these people in here as snitches and releasing them every few days. We had a citizen patrol in here but those who participated were targeted for thefts and vandalism. But just remember before you drive by us remember on 8/26/2012 a lady of 83 called BPD because she heard what she thought was gun fire. Two other neighbors called to report firecrackers (which is what it was off in the bike path by the homes over there) She sat hiding in her closet until another neighbor brought her dinner because BPD did not bother to call her and say it was OK or even respond to her call which she gave her address. Breaks my heart to know she was that scared

Washy, don't assume that I know nothing about the area because I don't currently live near there. I actually grew up in Beaumont and went to school there. I know the trailer park very well, thank you. In fact my father in law, who used to operate a tree trimming business, did many jobs there over the years, both inside and along the frontage, and I occasionally helped him with those jobs.
If only 5-10 out of 150+ homes there are the problem, then you have the numbers to fight. EVERYONE needs to step up, and drive the lowlifes out. You claim that you want BPD to step up patrols and enforcement, yet you constantly badmouth them, even when they do show up. Kinda counter-productive, don't you think?
Greg M August 27, 2012 at 01:33 pm
Julia -- EXACTLY. Life is what you make of it...bless you for your positive outlook.
And washy (let me quote you) you said -- "I am done with you and this conversation". And yet, you continue to go on. I cant believe I already wasted this much time reading about you guys arguing. This blog has deteriorated to about as low as it can go. Its obvious to all that your viewpoint is quite tainted, and I dont think any amount of further posting is going to change that. You have wasted hours on here spewing negativity-- just think if you had taken that time and applied it in a positive direction...you might have ACTUALLY made a difference. Grow up. I find it interesting the RG was all over the State of the City luncheon but not interested inRead More printing the questions and issues raised by the Mayor's unsubstantiated claims. We should stop paying any attention to the RG if they aren't interested in what's really happening in Beaumont. I don't subscribe to the RG but it is still delivered to my house every week. Does anyone know how to stop the delivery? I could just pick it up each week and throw it in the trash but then their circulation won't be accurately represented to their advertisers. I'm going to start asking local business to stop advertising in the RG.

Maybe you could help the feed store itself find some low cost spay clinics for the cats they alwaysRead More have. They go through cats every week it seems. One just had kittens, and now someone just gave them another, who if not spayed now will probably have kittens, too. They have cages full of kittens all the time. Someone in this area needs to do spays cheap for these people who can't seem to get their acts together.

Niki- yes the plans have been updated to allow Banning and Yucaipa to share in the use of the newRead More ponds. It is an inter-agency plan that is beneficial to everyone. Why you consider having other entities share this project, which bonds us all together: they are paying to help build the new area so we, as ratepayers aren't hit with the whole bill, and we are going to finally get some recycled water into use from Yucaipa, Banning gets new wells, and no matter what- we have ultimate control over the use at all times- how that is a horror story I can't figure out. These plans were in the works for years, it was no secret. Its now being finalized by the board- as the details are now ironed out. The only horror story I see happening is how Beaumont refuses to make an agreement with the district to utilize their recycled water- and its not all the water district's fault like you think. Beaumont can't build unless they find some new sources of water. One of the reasons they pulled out is once they update their wastewater facility- they don't plan on wasting that recycled water just on landscaping . They are going to dump it into the basin itself for the water credit. Beaumont residents have no clue that their drinking water will eventually be more wastewater than water coming down the mountain. Sorry- but I think Fraser is doing a great job. If he hadn't got in there, the district would belong to Beaumont, who would take all the water they want regardless of impact studies, and siphon off all the money for their own uses. Guess you missed their lawsuit in the courts- the courts laughed them out. Beaumont is broke. The water district is financially sound.
Niki Magee June 13, 2013 at 01:54 pm
Ben, it is unfortunate you are the victim of such serious misinformation. I thought I knew everyoneRead More at last night's BCVWD meeting. Who were you?
Claire Frémont June 15, 2013 at 09:59 am
I'm curious, Niki, what misinformation are you speaking of concerning Ben's comment? He appears toRead More be stating information that I've read about also. Beaumont did sue to try and take over the water district, they did get a cease and desist order to stop dumping their wastewater into the aquifer, and have pulled out of all negotiations with the district to supply them with recycled water. The district has made the arrangements instead with Yucaipa to take their water, with the hopes that someday Beaumont will come around. All these things are in agendas and downloads available to the public, which part are you disputing?
