Beaumont House Fire Quickly Extinguished

The fire was on American Avenue after midnight.

A small house fire on American Avenue in Beaumont, between 6th and 8th streets, was knocked down quickly just after midnight on Wednesday.

Cal Fire responded to the fire at 12:35 a.m. When they arrived they saw light smoke coming from the home and located the fire in a bedroom, said Cal Fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

The residents had evacuated prior to the arrival of the fire fighters and no injuries were reported.

There engines responded to the incident.
