Banning Woman Accused of Felony DUI in Crash, Injured Motorcyclist 'Guarded'

The two-vehicle crash was reported at 9:18 p.m. Friday in the 3800 block of West Wilson in Banning, according to police.

A Banning woman was accused of felony driving under the influence in a crash with a motorcycle Friday night that left an injured man hospitalized in "guarded" condition, police said.

The two-vehicle crash was reported at 9:18 p.m. Friday in the 3800 block of West Wilson Street, Banning police said in a statement.

"Officers arrived on scene and found the driver of the motorcycle lying in the street with injuries," police said. "The driver of the motorcycle was identified as a 47 year old resident of Banning."

The motorcyclist was treated at the scene by Cal Fire personnel and transported by ambulance to Eisenhower Hospital in Rancho Mirage with significant injuries, police said.

His medical condition was listed as "guarded," police said Saturday.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, police said. She was identified as 54-year-old Dawn Lenette Belville of Banning.

"Belville was suspected of driving under the influence and was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving, causing injury," police said. "She was later booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning."

Belville remained behind bars Saturday afternoon, according to inmate records. Her bail was listed at $70,000.

An investigation of the crash was continuing.
