Banning Police Department dispatchers are planning a Beautiful Ladies Boutique this Saturday to benefit the annual "Shop with a Hero" program.
The event is scheduled 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 13 at Nicolet Middle School's football stadium/gymnasium parking lot, 101 E. Nicolet St. in Banning.
"Numerous local vendors will be on hand to promote their health, beauty, home and fitness products for all to enjoy," Lead Public Safety Dispatcher Chelse Youngblood said in an announcement.
"There will also be activities for kids to participate in, as well as informational booths for local businesses and organizations," Youngblood said.
Participants are asked to donate a space rental fee of $20 and a minimum $25 raffle prize to promote their product, Youngblood said.
Donation fees and raffle prize proceeds will benefit the Banning Police Activities League's Shop with a Hero program, which helps make Christmas special for deserving children in Banning.
"Each year 20-25 children from lower income families are picked to spend the morning with a local 'Hero' where they are treated to breakfast, escorted to Walmart and given $100 to spend as they wish," Youngblood said.
This year is BPAL's 5th Annual Shop with a Hero event, and it is scheduled Saturday Dec. 8.
