Banning Man Suspected in Perris Armed Robbery

Riverside County Sheriff's deputies caught three after a brief pursuit.

A Banning man has been arrested, suspected of an armed robbery in Perris today, Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies responded to a call at 3:17 a.m. about an armed robbery at the Circle K store at 3150 Case Road. A clerk said three males, one armed with a handgun, took an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and Scratcher Lottery tickets, according to a sheriff’s department press release.

The three reportedly got away in a silver or gray Dodge Neon.

Deputies located a silver Dodge Neon nearby and attempted to stop the vehicle. A pursuit ensued until the suspect vehicle collided with a metal gate in the area of 11th Street and Park Avenue, the press release states.

Two males fled on foot in opposite directions, but both were captured after a brief foot chase, the release says. A third suspect, not in the car, was found walking on Case Road.

Deputies discovered items taken during the robbery, sheriff’s officials said, along with two “air soft” replica handguns.

Arrested were  Kenneth Daniels Jr., age 27 from Banning, Keon O’Neal Wooten, age 28 from Moreno Valley and Henry Jay Wilson, age 24 from Moreno Valley.
