Man Beaten after Stopping to Break up Fight
The man stopped his car to help a man who was being attacked in a Banning street.
A man was seriously injured after he tried to help another man who was being attacked in the street on Friday afternoon, according to the Banning Police Department.
Officers responded to a fight near 3rd and George Streets just before 2 p.m. and found a seriously injured 41-year-old man lying in the street. After an investigation, they found that the man was driving by when he witnessed the fight and stopped his car to help a man who was being attacked by two other men. Subsequently, he received a head injury for his troubles and was transported to the hospital. The person he was trying to help received minor injuries that did not require medical attention, said police.
Three suspects fled on foot, one female and two males. Officers were able to find the female but the men are still on the loose.
