Arson Investigators Looking Into Yucaipa House Fire

The San Bernardino County sheriff's department says the fire was reported just before 9 p.m. Sunday on 2nd Street, north of Acacia.

Fire damaged a home on 2nd Street in Yucaipa after sundown Sunday and a sheriff's arson investigator was assigned to assist with the investigation.

The fire was reported at 8:58 p.m. June 24 in the 12000 block of 2nd Street, north of Acacia Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County sheriff's department.

Yucaipa deputies and Cal Fire personnel responded.

"The fire damaged one of several residences on the property," deputies said in a statement. "No one was in the residence at the time of the fire and there were no injuries."

An investigator from the sheriff's Bomb Arson Detail responded to assist with the investigation due to the nature of the fire, according to Yucaipa Station personnel.
