A 48-year-old Texas woman allegedly driving drunk plowed into four mailboxes in Palm Desert, suffering minor injuries, authorities said.
Kathleen K. Leonard, of Georgetown, was treated at a local hospital before being booked into the county jail on suspicion of DUI, authorities said.
Sheriff's deputies were called about 6:20 p.m. to the 45400 block of San Luis Rey Avenue, where they found the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle had gone off the road while traveling south, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. David Wright stated in a news release.
