Sheriff’s homicide detectives on Saturday were investigating the deaths of two men whose remains were found inside a San Jacinto home, a sergeant said.
The dead men were discovered by Riverside County sheriff’s deputies from San Jacinto, who went to perform a welfare check at the home in the 700 block of Multnomah Court, according to Sgt. Jeff Buompensiero.
Deputies were called about 7:40 p.m. Friday, the sergeant wrote in a news release.
No one answered the door but deputies found an opening through a garage door and went inside the home, where they found the men, the sergeant said.
The cause of death was not determined, pending an autopsy, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s office, which reported that the men suffered their fatal injuries where they died.
The investigation into the circumstances of the deaths was continuing.
Anyone with information related to this incident was asked to contact investigators at the sheriff’s Homicide Unit, 760 393-3500, or San Jacinto police Investigator Vance Velardez at 951 791-3400.
