Who Gets The Money - A Question Needing Answering

An article was posted in the Patch on July 3rd indicating San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital has made moves to save the taxpayers nearly $17 million. You will find that glowing story here: ** http://banning-beaumont.patch.com/groups/health/p/san-gorgonio-memorial-hospital-touts-taxpayer-savi... **

Two people commenting on the article raised a very interesting question - just how is this going to benefit the citizen and where is the money going? Are the taxes each resident pays going to be less? Are those taxes going to be paid for a shorter time? Where is that money "saved" going to be utilized and for what purpose? This is a direct challenge to Mark Turner to give answers for these questions.

On the face of it, the article makes SGMH look great - but those questions linger in the background and make one very suspicious that this is a fluff marketing campaign to make an organization which over-ran it's costs and built less than promised with the bond money appear to be a responsible entity in preparation for asking for another bond measure. So let's hear from Mark just how this "savings" is going to be returned to the taxpayers who are already paying the entire amount without the "savings"? Let's hear from Mark where this savings is going to be used?

I'm getting very tired of these shell games that supposedly benefit people but in the end benefit organizations and administrations. How did SGMH save anything at all for the taxpayer when they didn't get everything for which the bond measure was assessed built and they now are going to have to increase bond indebtedness to finish the project? How stupid do these people think we are? I and many others are waiting for an answer, Mark Turner, and it had better be good. **** Jeremiah
