COPS and HARLEY'S

I have often wondered why our police do not cite loud motorcycle operators when they are obviously violating noise regulations.   Just last week I observed two diverse enforcement examples by local police:  a friend who had put ‘Hollywood’ exhaust on her Chevy was ticketed for noise.  The next day while leaving the Beaumont Post Office, a Harley rider took off from the stop sign revving his noise maker to the hilt.  Luckily – I thought – one of Beaumont’s finest was crossing the same intersection.  Good, I said.  Well, guess what.  Beaumont’s finest totally ignored the violation and just drove on by.
