Longtime Beaumont Resident, Veteran John LaCroix Dies

A memorial service is scheduled for August 3 in Beaumont.

The following was submitted for publication by Weaver Mortuary & Crematory:

John W. LaCroix, a 43 year resident of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, July 21 peacefully at home. 

John was born in Hollywood, Tennessee, enlisted in the Navy at Memphis, Tennessee in 1940 and retired from the Navy in 1961.  He was an Aviation Machinist Mate with a rank of E6, serving in WWII and the Korean War.  He earned and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Medal, the United Nations Medal, the Korean Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

John then spent his later years doing many different jobs in and around the Pass area.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife Aereille and the over 2 dozen animals that they lovingly adopted and cared for.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Weaver Mortuary chapel in Beaumont, CA.  In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW Post 233 in Beaumont or the Ramona Humane Society (Animal Shelter) in San Jacinto.
