San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Security System Featured on KESQ

The desert station's spot focused on the hospitals infant recovery system.

KESQ, the ABC news affiliate out of the Coachella Valley, came west to do a story on San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital's Infant Monitoring System on Thursday.

The spot, which aired during the 5 o'clock news block, featured obstetrics nurse Janis Jacobson and emergency preparedness coordinator Jan Merrick as well as Ann Coopersmith, a new mother, talking about the hospital's added security.

The "Safe Place" monitoring system was installed on July 26 to prevent infant abductions, or a "code pink."

The hospital also offers "Maternity Tea and Tours," where soon-to-be mothers can pre-register for their hospital stay, check out the Women's Center and have questions answered by a registered nurse. For an appointment, call 951-769-2151.
