No Way Gateway Update

We have three important meetings this week in our community.

Calimesa City Council Meeting - Monday March 3, 2014 - 6:00 PM

Norton Younglove Multipurpose Senior Center 908 Park Avenue, Calimesa, CA 92320

Beaumont City Council Meeting - Tuesday March 4, 2014 - 6:00 PM

550 East 6th Street, Beaumont, CA 92333

Yucaipa Valley Water District - Wednesday March 5, 2014 - 6:00 PM

Administration Office 12770 Second St, Yucaipa, CA 92399

These are three opportunities to get our elected officials on the record regarding their support or opposition of the Gateway Center warehouse project. Please try and make it to at least one.

The Beaumont Unified School Board will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday at 6:00 to take public input on their plans to assign trustee areas for electing board members. While this is an important meeting it probably won't be an opportunity to address the Gateway Center.

I am still working on my new website. Until it is ready to be deployed, I have created a temporary page on my OurFocusOurKids.com website. There is a new tab titled No Way Gateway. Here i will keep track of upcoming meetings, links to websites and the positions of all our elected officials and candidates for the 2014 election. It is a work in progress and I am asking for your support. I need help with names and email addresses as well as updates to the individual's position.

Send your information and questions to me by emailing me at OurFocusOurKids@gmail.com.

Good to know, Tony. There's another--larger--community near there (on Singleton Road) called Sharondale. Also, there are a bunch of new homes being developed further up the road in Painted Hills Estates and Singleton Heights. Wonder how these new homeowners up there are going to like taking a hit on their property values? Right now, we're working primarily on getting support in Solera/Beaumont, so we appreciate the help with Calimesa.

I've got possibly a different spin on this - and it came to me - believe it or not while watching Bates Motel - yep - watch it and you'll probably understand better why I'm going ask this question - anyone know an environmentalist or someone versed in endangered species? Projects have been totally abandoned due to endangered species or destroying land that is home to special species. It's certainly worth a try and it's just another angle on getting them to stop this horrible project. Environmentalists can be some very good people to have on our side and very bad for the Ashley's of this world.
