Very Cold Weather This Weekend As Storm Brushes The Area

After this heatwave we will have a coldwave over the weekend as freezing temperatures hit the pass location.

It may seem like Summer in some parts, but we will go from well above average  temperatures to well below average temperatures in just a few days.  This complete turn around is courtesy of a large trough of low pressure that will move into the area.

The main storm center will bring mainly dry conditions in the pass areas,  but isolated showers will be possible starting Thursday night.  The main story with this will be the cold air this system will bring.

It's very likely I'll need to issue a Freeze Watch for the Banning areas as early as Tuesday or Wednesday, with the strong likelihood of freezing conditions overnight this weekend.

If you live in the region (or plan to camp around the area) then prepare for freezing temperatures accordingly.  The neighboring mountain areas may drop into the teens over the weekend!
