Man Up And Vote For Michele

From Afghanistan, a tea party conservative from Redlands has decided to go all-in for Michele Bachmann after her recent Iowa Straw Poll victory. Besides, he already has her picture.

Liberals have got to be quaking in their Birkenstocks at the thought of Barack Obama having to debate tea party studette Michele Bachmann.

For me, it would be a moment of pure schadenfreude to watch liberals spill their white wine and fresh brie in horror as Bachmann rips Obama a new set of lungs on the presidential debate stage.

Bachmann won me over during the Iowa Straw Poll. Her passion for conservative American values, as well as her unwavering political courage, tells me she’s the new Ronald Reagan. And like me, she wants constitutional amendments to balance the budget and protect traditional marriage.

So I’m all in for Michele.

I had been waiting for Texas Gov. Rick Perry to survive his media vetting, but I’m unsure whether he has the temerity to weather a hurricane of racial epithets coming his way.

We tea party movement types say “Balanced Budget Amendment”; but all liberals hear is, “Because Obama is black.” We say “cut spending”; but the media reinterprets that as, “Conservatives want slavery!”

This presidential election is going to be the nastiest ever. Abusive ad hominem attacks are all the liberals and their media buddies will have in 2012 because they have nothing to defend. From socialized medicine and $16 trillion of debt to high unemployment and a likely double-dip recession, liberals have amassed a dismal record since taking control.

Liberals know they must attack early and often because voters don’t have the stomach to hear more arguments why the $800 billion stimulus package really did work.

Michele Bachmann provides the optics needed to deflect any abuse and all unfairness. Her gender, in the eyes of the politically correct media, could trump the race card liberals are going to deal from the bottom of the deck.

She’s smart. She’s fierce. She’s conservative. And like me, she’s from Iowa.

What’s there not for a tea party conservative to love?

Besides, I have her picture. On April 15, 2010, while undergoing my annual U.S. Army Reserve training in Maryland, I decided the jog the National Mall which, coincidentally, was during the Tax Day Tea Party. I knew the event was going on, but I didn’t realize the crowd, sprawled out in the shadow of the Washington Monument, was as big or as organized as it was.

That’s when I saw Michele speak. She wowed the crowd. Afterward, I asked her for a picture and autograph after she gave yet another media interview. She was very nice and accommodating despite my sweat-soaked t-shirt from 2009 which urged then-moribund Republicans to “keep the faith.”

This is the election cycle to get a conservative like Michele Bachmann into the White House. Unfortunately, Americans need to experience nanny-state, big government before realizing the freedoms of lower taxes, small government.

There is a very strong historical parallel between 2012 and 1980.

As a nation, we’re on the verge of a conservative tidal wave thanks to leaders like Michele Bachmann and patriots like the tea party. The current vacuum for conservative leadership may never have occurred if the liberals hadn’t first tanked country’s economy and morale.

After all, we wouldn’t have enjoyed eight years Ronald Reagan if we hadn’t first endured four years of Jimmy Carter.
