Lincoln Comes to Life for Tea Party Patriots

An Abraham Lincoln impersonator will speak Thursday at the monthly meeting of the Redlands Tea Party Patriots. The Gettysburg Address is on tap.

Abraham Lincoln is having a busy month – his 203rd birthday is Feb. 12 and his new Steven Spielberg movie with vampires will hit theaters soon.

But we thrilled to learn today that Honest Abe will take time out of his ultra-busy schedule to speak Thursday, Feb. 2, at the monthly meeting of the Redlands Tea Party Patriots.

(Comforting thought knowing that we’re on his A list!)

Impersonator Chet Damron, who has been playing Lincoln for 37 years, will be one of our two guest speakers. The other is former Beaumont Mayor Jan Lega, who will discuss redistricting and the impacts its new lines will have the Inland Empire.

The two-hour meeting starts at 7 p.m. It’s free and open to the public. For more information, go to redlandsteaparty.com. We meet at the Mill Creek Cattle Co., 1874 Mentone Blvd. We meet in the back room.
