Banning Centennial Lecture Series - Michael Sanborn

Michael Sanborn, director of the Banning Museum, will be the featured speaker at the final lecture of the Banning Centennial Lecture series.  He will speak on the various aspects of the life of Phinneas Banning,(1830-1885),  an American businessman, financier and entrepreneur known as "The Father of the Port of Los Angeles. Besides operating a freighting business, Banning operated a stagecoach line between San Pedro and Wilmington,
and later between Banning, CA, which was named in his honor, and Yuma, Arizona.  $5 per person; youth free. Dessert free.  Sponsored by Judy Asman Communication.
