Warm Sunday reminds more heat is coming. Comment or upload a photo to share your choice places in or near the Pass to cool it when spring and summer get hot.

Fresh snow from the recent storm blanketed high country on both sides of the Pass on Sunday, but by afternoon it was warm enough for bikinis and sun lotion next to the pool at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa.

The April warmth is just a prelude to more heat coming later this spring and summer, and it seems appropriate to ask: Where do you like to cool off when the serious heat clamps down in Banning, Beaumont and Cabazon?

In the shade on your porch, at the nearest coffeehouse, or the public pool - everyone has a favorite spot or two.

Among the blessings Pass residents can count is public access to snowmelt-filled creeks, streams and occasional waterfalls.

The photos here are from Big Falls above Forest Falls, in 2006, 2008, 2009 and today, Sunday April 10 2011 - which was nice but not nearly warm enough for a dip.
