Two people have been hospitalized in a rollover crash on Interstate 10, though they managed to escape major injuries.
The crash happened just before 2 p.m. Tuesday on the westbound side of I-10, just west of Oak Valley Parkway, according to CHP Officer Dan Fitch.
The 39-year-old driver lost control of her Chevrolet Suburban after her tire blew out in the fast lane, Fitch told Banning-Beaumont Patch.
The Suburban then rolled one time, flattening the top of the vehicle and sending its contents all over the roadway, including glass bottles and metal. Still, the woman and her 20-year-old male passenger did not have any visible injuries, though they were complaining of some pain, Fitch said.
Though there were several glass bottles found at the scene, it is not believed the driver was drinking-- rather, they were being hauled for recycling, according to CHP on scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the site was cleaned up by 3:30 p.m.
