Stalled Vehicle Leads to Miles Long Backup in Badlands

A stalled vehicle led to some traffic issues for drivers headed into Beaumont Monday afternoon.

A vehicle that stalled in the middle of the Badlands Monday afternoon led to some traffic issues, drivers and CHP officials reported to Patch.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Jetta stalled around 1 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of State Route 60, at the summit of the pass between Moreno Valley and Beaumont.

Because it was stopped in the middle of the roadway, drivers backed up to the beginning of the Badlands. There is no shoulder in the area where the vehicle stalled.
