San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Offering Tour of New ED/ICU Building Wednesday

Anyone 18 years or older is invited to tour the Banning hospital, which is undergoing extensive expansion efforts.

San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital is once again opening the doors to its under-construction Emergency Department/ Intensive Care Unit for those interested in exploring the project.

The two-story complex is about 90 percent complete, and attendees will be guided through the building to learn about its features.  There are also two "mock-up" patient rooms to give an idea of what everything will look like once it's 100 percent done.

The tour will be held Wednesday, June 20, at 4 p.m.  Those interested in attending will meet at "Classroom C," near the women's center parking lot off Wilson Street.

If you can't make it to this tour, additional ones will be held on the third Wednesday of each month going forward.

Recently, , which will help keep the existing emergency department running at full capacity while construction continues, and later help with operational costs at this new department once it opens in April 2013.
