Homicide detectives Saturday worked to solve the case of a man found dead on a road near Mt. San Jacinto's Banning campus.
The 59-year-old man was found in the 900 block of South Sunset Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, said Banning police Sgt. Alejandro Diaz.
Investigators determined the man was dead and police closed off the street and worked through the night and into the day; a Patch reader reported not being able to get to her home until Friday evening.
The death has been ruled a homicide but his identity has yet to be released.
