Break in the Storm, Showers Possible Later Saturday

Sun breaks through weather moving through the Pass. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible later today, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms were possible Saturday afternoon as a cold winter storm that dumped about 1-1/2 inches of rain overnight in Beaumont and Banning continued moving through the San Gorgonio Pass.

A flash flood watch for the Pass communities remained in effect through late Saturday night, and a winter storm warning for the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto high country above 4,500 feet was in effect until 4 a.m. Sunday, National Weather Service officials said.

The CHP reported more than a dozen spinouts, crashes and rollovers from 6 p.m. Friday through Saturday morning. Most of the incidents involved no injuries or minor injuries.
