Approaching Storm Expected to Bring Rain, Winds, Snow

Winter storm warning issued for high mountains on both sides of the Pass from 6 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday. Flash flood watch and wind advisory issued for Beaumont, Banning and Cabazon through Sunday night.

A Pacific storm system approaching the San Gorgonio Pass late Saturday was expected to bring heavy rain at lower elevations, gusting winds, and snow above 6,000 feet Sunday afternoon into early Monday, forecasters said.

The strongest part of the storm was expected to arrive Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter storm warning was issued for the high mountains on both sides of the Pass from 6 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday.
