Two Job Fairs This Week for Banning Businesses

Dozens of jobs are up for grabs between the two businesses-- San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital and the Dollar General.

There's some good news for job seekers this week, as two Banning businesses are hosting job fairs this Wednesday.

, which is looking to fill approximately 30 positions for its new Banning location.

The city of Banning posted an announcement of the hiring event, to be held at Highland Springs Resort, 10600 Highland Springs Ave. in Beaumont.

Applicants will have a chance to turn in their resumes and applications at the event, on May 30.  It runs all day, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., according to the announcement.

The “Open Recruitment Fair” will be held on Wednesday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. .

“Come dressed professionally and prepared to interview on the spot with the Executive Director of Human Resources, and Directors of the Hospital’s many departments,” said hospital spokeswoman Molly Davis.  “Please bring your resume and be ready to fill out an application.”

The fair will be held in Classroom C, near the Women’s Center, off of Wilson Street.

Banning currently has an unemployment rate of 13.5%, according to the latest job figures released in April by California's Employment Development Department.
