Banning Chamber of Commerce Sees Success with New "BBC" Group

The group of local businesses meet twice a month at The Lakes Retirement Community to network and learn from other business owners.

Approximately two dozen people turned out Wednesday to a new semi-monthly small business meeting hosted by the Banning Chamber of Commerce.

The businesses, which ranged from new storage facilities to a new Asian grocery store, were all gathered to take part in the Chamber's new "Business to Business Connection," or BBC.

These meetings, hosted every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at ,  and have since developed a steady crowd of about 25 people each meeting, organizers tell Banning-Beaumont Patch.

Each meeting consists of a small presentation by a local business, and Q&A session during breakfast.  This week, the highlighted speaker was Michael DiVita of The Justice Center in Banning, who talked about ways his company provides legal assistance.

Anyone who is not a member of the Banning Chamber of Commerce may attend two Business to Business Connection meetings free of charge, organizers said. Thereafter, BBC organizers request attendees join the chamber.

"The goal of the networking group is to provide a forum where local businesses throughout the Pass Area can come together to promote their business and products,  as well as services,  with the stated goal to help them increase sales and improve their business' profitability," a chamber announcement stated.

The meetings are held at 7:30 a.m, and run for about an hour.
