TRAFFIC ALERT: Full Closures of Hwy 79/Beaumont Ave This Week
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible, as a paving project will shut down a portion of Highway 79 in Beaumont.
A repaving project will shut down a major Beaumont roadway this week, and Caltrans is asking area drivers to plan ahead.
The closure will be on State Route 79, between 1st Street and 6th Street. It will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 21, and last through 5 a.m. Friday, June 22.
Due to the location of the closure, you will not be able to exit Interstate 10 at the Beaumont Ave/Highway 79 off-ramp; nor will you be able to get onto the freeway or state route at that location.

There will be a detour in place, taking drivers to Highway 79 via Pennsylvania Ave. You can also take California Ave.
This closure is only scheduled to run the one night.
