Thunderstorms Still Expected in Riverside County

The unstable weather will most likely continue and heavy showers will likely occur in the evening.

There is a chance of thunderstorms and heavy showers in the Coachella Valley and the mountains of Riverside County later today, forecasters said.

Unstable weather would be the result of residual monsoonal moisture from Monday's wet weather in the inland valleys, mountains and deserts, according to the National Weather Service.

Rainfall totals from Monday include 0.59 in Beaumont, 0.03 in Riverside, 0.28 in Lake Elsinore, 0.31 inches in Corona, 0.82 in Hemet, 0.24 in Temecula, 0.43 in Gilman Hot Springs, 0.83 in Pine Cove, 0.92 in Keenwild, 0.63 in Vista Grande and 0.83 on Toro Peak.
