Thunderstorms Expected in Mountain Areas

Isolated flash flooding is possible as a result of the expected thunderstorms, according to the NWS.

Scattered afternoon and early evening thunderstorms are expected in the Coachella Valley and mountains of Riverside County today, forecasters said.

According to the National Weather Service, the unstable weather will likely start decreasing by Wednesday. Isolated flash flooding is possible as a result of the expected thunderstorms, according to the NWS.

Elsewhere in the county today, the Weather Service forecast most sunny skies this morning will give way to partly cloudy skies this afternoon.

The high temperatures today are expected to be in 87 to 97 degrees in the Inland Empire, 77 to 87 in the mountains and 95 to 100 in the Coachella Valley.
