Interstate 10 Construction, Closures to Continue This Week

Just as we wrap up nearly a week of road work on Interstate 10 between Banning and Palm Springs, more closures have been scheduled.

The work, which is an extension of , will call for the intermittent closures of all lanes of traffic-- both eastbound and westbound-- between Pennsylvania Ave. and Highway 111, according to a Caltrans commuter alert.

In addition to the lane closures, the on and off ramps in the area are subject to closure, Caltrans said.

Work begins Monday at 7 p.m., and continues every night through Thursday morning, at 5 a.m.
