Commuter Alert: I-10 Closures in Banning, Cabazon Continue All Week
The closures are being caused by an ongoing paving project.
A paving project on Interstate 10 between Banning and Palm Springs will continue this week-- and for the next month-- forcing a series of closures on the thoroughfare.
The work began about a month ago, and will wrap up in about another month's time, according to Caltrans Spokeswoman Michelle Profant.
This week's closures will all happen between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. every night this week, and will affect both westbound and eastbound traffic between Highway 111 and Pennsylvania Ave., according to a Caltrans commuter alert.
