Wynonna Judd, Brian McKnight Among Beaumont's 2014 Summer Concert Series Lineup

The city of Beaumont has announced the headliners for this year's summer concert series, and they include a country superstar and famed R&B musician.

The series, which begins each year with a "double header" in conjunction with the annual Fourth of July extravaganza, will showcase a total of five main acts.

Here is the full schedule of performances, as released by Beaumont:

  • July 4: The Basix and Eddie Money
  • July 9: Wynonna Judd
  • July 16: Music and arts in the park sponsored by the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce
  • July 23: Brian McKnight
  • July 30: Plain White T's
  • August 6: DJ and free swim at the Plunge
Each concert begins at 7:30 p.m., except for the very first one on the first night, which starts at 5 p.m.

The events are all free to attend and are held at Stewart Park, which is located between Maple Avenue and Orange Avenue between 9th Street and 10th Street.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments to enjoy the shows.

Last year, some 20,000 people gathered at the park for one of the highlighted performances featuring LeAnn Rimes.

The concerts are paid out of the city's general fund.

What do YOU think...are you happy with the line-up?  Do you plan on attending any other of the shows this summer?  Tell us in the comments!
