Photos: Leann Rimes Performs Beaumont Summer Concert Series

County star Leann Rimes took to the stage in Beaumont Wednesday night, as thousands of people filled Stewart Park.

City officials tell Banning-Beaumont Patch they estimate more than 20,000 people were in attendance.  That would make it one of the largest shows in the series' history.

People who secured a spot in the front row told Patch they got there as early as 2:45 a.m. to see Rimes perform.  Some were there just for Rimes, but others who dub themselves the "front row crew" say they do this on a weekly basis for each act in the concert series.

Check out the photos above of Rimes' performance.

Beaumont's Summer Concert Series will continue next week.  These are the remaining shows for 2013:

  • July 31st - Berlin and A Flock of Seagulls
  • August 7th - Rude Boy

The concerts are paid out of the city's general fund.  $250,000 was allocated for the shows this year.
