A new museum showcasing the history of firefighting will open at a former Banning fire station this weekend. The museum collection includes antique firefighter jackets and helmets, alarms, bells, tools and more. There is also a recreated bunk room, a children's learning center and neat, old-fashioned fire trucks too.
On Sunday, the Learning Center will feature a special 9/11 display.
Opening weekend hours: 5-8:30 p.m. Friday, noon-4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
