Banning-Beaumont Patch's Little Pumpkin Costume Challenge Winner
The winner is 8-month-old Jermaine Gibson Jr., whose mother Jessica Gibson dressed him as a "Baby Lion."
Banning-Beaumont Patch received more than a dozen entries in the Little Pumpkin Costume Challenge this Halloween.
The winner is 8-month-old Jermaine Gibson Jr. of Beaumont, whose mother Jessica Gibson dressed him as a "Baby Lion."
"He's all happy he won," Jessica Gibson said Monday evening. "My brother is showing him how to roar."

Jermaine Jr. is the son of Beaumont resident, Iraq War veteran, and Cathedral City police Officer , who was killed in the line of duty in March - a fact that was not considered in contest judging.
"His father would have been very proud," Jessica Gibson said.
