Wind + Showers Possible Saturday Night and Sunday in San Gorgonio Pass

A weather system moving east toward the Pass prompted a winter weather advisory for the San Gabriel Mountains, and light precipitation is possible in the San Bernardino and San Jacinto ranges that flank the Pass.

Cooler temperatures and increasing onshore winds prompted a high wind warning for a region including the San Gorgonio Pass for Saturday night and Sunday.

Strong, gusty southwest to west winds are expected to develop in the mountains and deserts, and the same system could bring light precipitation to areas along and west of the mountains Saturday night through early Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The high wind warning is in effect until 10 a.m. Sunday for sustained winds 20 to 30 miles per hours gusts to 60 mph possible, according to the Weather Service.
